Suspect At Large After Woman Shot Outside Stratford Apartment

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3 in Stratford.

That's when officers from the Stratford Police Department responded to 90 Birch Drive to investigate a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, the female gun shot victim was located, said Stratford PD Captain Frank Eannotti. 

She was transported to the hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.

Several witnesses were spoken to at the scene and the investigation is ongoing, according to Eannotti.

"This was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the general public," Eannotti said.

The suspect is an unknown man last seen wearing all dark clothing.
